My daughters (5 & 7) love the Littlest Pet Shop toys. We selected this as my younger daughter's first playset (she already had some pets), but I wish we had purchased the Little Lovin Pet Playhouse (same price) instead.
The Get Better Center is a small doctor's office. The regular version comes with a gecko, dog and magic motion kitty, and should cost about $20. There is now a version with bonus pets that runs for $25, but we have the original version. The office comes with an x-ray machine that works with the magnets in the pets, a scale and other small accessories, including a removeable cast and cone for the dog. The colors are bright - pink, orange, chartreuse, turquoise and purple. There are 2 built in seats, and a space for a drawer (included).
What I wished I had understood better was that this set contains a Magic Motion Cat. Magic Motion pets retail for $10, and consist of a pet with a bed (batteries not included) and a bottle. You put the pet in the bed, hold the bottle up to its mouth, and (in this case) the cat "licks" the bottle. My daughter isn't that interested in this feature, and just uses the cat like her many other, less expensive, pets.
This playset is quite small, as half the price is accounted for with the magic motion pet. When open (not including the door) the GBC measures just 13 1/2 inches by 6 1/2 inches. In contrast, the Little Lovin Pet Playhouse also costs $20, comes with 2 pets and is a much larger building with more to do.
The overall quality of the Get Better Center is fine, but our door comes off rather frequently, and I have to put it back on. The gecko has a feature where his spots fade when you hold him in your hand, and then return when you place him under the "sunlamp". The gecko is very cute, and my daughter loves him, but the spots don't really do what they are supposed to. These are minor problems, though.
Bottom line - while the Get Better Center does come with cute accessories and could be perfect for a budding vet, I think you should only buy it if you already have the Little Lovin Playhouse or the Biggest Little Petshop, or if your child really values the magic motion pets.
