From the other four reviews, I expected these truffles to be really great. My first concern was when I opened the shipping box. There was coco powder everywhere. In the shipping box, all over the wrapper, inside the wrapper, etc. just clouds of it and it coated my fingers when I picked up a truffle. They had obviously gone way overboard on the coco powder covering the truffles. It should be a light dusting, not enough to choke a horse. When I bit into the truffle, my mouth and throat were coated in dry coco powder, at first it was all I could taste, not pleasant at all.
The truffle itself was disappointing too. The outer shell of chocolate was very thick and very hard so I had to really put some effort into biting into the truffle and in chewing it up. Plus the filling was not nice, it tasted only of honey. I didn't get a flavor of chocolate at all, just hard, powder covered shell and then honey. I would not buy these again.
